Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career from a young age. At the age of 16, she was 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. The audience was impressed by her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects through the years. The projects include British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. She also remained member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
